Got a notice of violation?

Cities in Pinellas County and Pinellas County itself (for unincorporated areas) enforce property-maintenance rules on overgrown grass and weeds. The allowed height, the compliance deadline, and what happens if the deadline passes all depend on which government your parcel falls under — read your notice carefully, because it states the deadline and the code section.

• Note the compliance date and the case number on the notice.
• Call or send us the address — we'll tell you honestly whether it needs a bush hog or just a standard mowing service.
• After the work, keep your receipt and take dated photos in case the inspector asks for proof of compliance.
